Book & Chapter Workspace
Create unlimited books, each with its own chapter list. Add, rename, reorder by drag, and keep multiple chapters open in tabs at once.
Rich-Text Editor
Full formatting — headings, bold, italics, lists, block quotes. Autosave kicks in a few seconds after you stop typing so you never lose a sentence.
Focus & Typewriter Modes
Focus mode fades everything but your text. Typewriter mode keeps your current line centred so your eyes stop chasing the bottom of the page.
AI Writing Assistant
Rewrite, expand, continue, or run custom instructions on any selected passage. Each book carries its own AI voice instructions so the assistant stays on-brand.
Read-Aloud Playback
Hear your draft out loud using your computer's built-in voices — no setup, no account. Or plug in ElevenLabs for natural, high-quality AI narration.
Ideas, Comments & Search
Capture ideas and notes tied to a specific chapter without breaking flow. In-line comments for review notes. Full in-book search across all chapters.

Download & Install
Grab the installer for Windows, macOS, or Linux. Install it like any desktop app — no browser, no subscription portal.
Activate Your License
On first launch, enter your license key. The app verifies it once against the license server, then caches the result locally.
Create Your First Book
Hit the “+” button in the sidebar. Give your book a title and you're in. Add chapters, start typing, watch autosave handle the rest.
Set Your Book's Voice
Open per-book settings and write in your AI instructions — tone, style, POV, do's and don'ts. The assistant will match the voice of that specific book.
Draft, Edit, Listen
Write in Focus mode, revise with the AI assistant, then read aloud with browser TTS or ElevenLabs to catch what your eyes missed.
Move Licences Freely
Switching machines? Deactivate from within the app and reactivate on the new one. Your books stay in your local database either way.
AI tools
An assistant that knows your book's voice.
Write AI instructions once per book — tone, style, perspective, what to avoid — and every AI action in that book follows those rules automatically.
Rewrite
Select any passage and ask the AI to rewrite it — clearer, sharper, or in a different register — without leaving the editor.
Continue & Expand
Stuck on a scene? The AI continues from where you stopped, or expands a thin paragraph into something more fully realised.
Chat Panel
A conversational sidebar for back-and-forth discussion about plot, character, structure — anything you want to think through.
Analysis Panel
Higher-level feedback on what you've written — pacing, clarity, consistency with your stated goals for the chapter.
Current status: AI Chat, Analysis, and ElevenLabs voices are stubbed in this build and will show a “feature disabled” notice until the AI provider is wired up. Browser-based read-aloud works today.
